Dear friend,Do you ever feel like life is just moving way too fast? There's too much chaos, too much stress, too much anxiety, too many thoughts, not enough time... the list goes on. How easy to get caught up in the business of this life and forget how the Lord has already taken care of the biggest issue we'll ever have in our life-- our sin issue. How quickly we forget this command: "Be Still and Know that He is God". I love how this verse relates to the passage of Scripture that talks about Jesus calming the storm. His command to the raging waves is "Peace, be still". How well I would find rest if only I could remember who my God is (mighty, strong, loving, everlasting, faithful, and powerful), and that I should trust Him in everything. I made this painting as a reminder to myself to slow down. I don't have to rage like a storm inside-- I can trust the Lord. He is Good. He is Kind. He is Immeasurable. He is Strong. He is Near. And True Peace is found only in Him, the Prince of Peace. So, tired weary heart, don't neglect to pursue Him who is the true source of rest. Remind your heart to be still in the presence of the Lord and remind your mind of our God is. I hope this painting can be a visual reminder to you as well as we fight to live in the world but not of it. ~Isabel Grace

I am on a journey to create paintings and art that brings life, joy, and genuine beauty to homes and walls in a world of full of AI and lacking community. Join me as I share each part of my art journey from why I paint, to sneak peaks at paintings, and updates as I attempt to be a non-starving artist.
Dear friend, What do you think of when you think of the word "courageous"? As a kid, I tended to think of Peter Pevensie when he stands before the White Witch in battle and chooses to stand his ground and fight even though he is outmatched in The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe. Now, I tend to think of something a little less dramatic, but no less strong. Now, I think of people who stand up to bullies. I think of people who are meek (definition of meek: strength under control). I think of...

Dear friend, "The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want," Psalm 23:1a I was stuck on the words "I shall not want". Does it mean "I shall not be left wanting or lacking in any need" or does it mean "I will stop wanting", I asked myself. The Messy Stage of a New Painting I began to consider other Scripture verses like Lamentations 3:24 (“The Lord is my portion,” says my soul, “therefore I will hope in him.”) John 6 (Jesus feeds the 5,000), and Matthew 6:25-34 ("Consider the lilies.... "). And I...
