Dear friend,Happy Friday! I've been waiting for a few weeks to tell you about the things I have in this newsletter, so I am SO excited to finally show you! First off, the most exciting thing is that I have sold quite a few original paintings this month, and I'm so thankful to each of my collectors who decided to bring my art into their homes! I can't wait to see what it looks like in your spaces. Because of these originals have sold, I'm going to work on releasing my very first limited edition prints! If you don't know what that is, it means that I'll be making a limited number of prints out of the paintings that sold. The prints will be smaller than the originals, hand signed, and be numbered. It's probably going to be next week or later before I get them up on my website, but I wanted y'all to hear about it first! But there will only be FIVE prints for each design at this time, so if you're interested in a limited edition print reply to this email and I can reserve one of the limited prints for you! Okay, now this is what I've been hinting at and so excited about for weeks.... I'm officially opening FIVE spots for custom dog watercolor paintings! This painting is of my dog with my brother's favorite flowers as an example of what your beloved little fur baby might look like if I painted her. These custom dog paintings will be done in watercolor and all of them will be 9x12inches. Shipping within the continental U.S. is free, and the introductory price is $115 per portrait. The price will raise after these first 5 spots are filled, so I wanted you to get the exclusive first opportunity to claim a spot! Each pet portrait (it doesn't have to be a dog, I can paint a cat too!!) is for one pet, with your favorite flowers tucked into the painting. I can't wait to paint your little furry friends and your favorite flowers! If you want to go ahead and grab your custom painting, you can do that HERE. The last studio update I have for you is that I'm working slowly on a new painting collection! I did a painting collection a few months ago (which would make perfect Christmas gifts by the way) when I did the birth month flower collection (you can check that out HERE). But I struggled for a few months with what collection to do next. I wrote down ideas, looked for inspiration, tried to decide, made sources and references, and then decided I wasn't excited enough about it.... until I came back to my favorite thing to paint -- butterflies! This collection is going to slowly develop over the next few months, but my current goal is to create 10 framed paintings of specific types of butterflies with flowers in them. This collection is all about how beautiful the little ordinary magical things are in life and how we can make an impact for the Lord right where we are. I can't wait to paint more in this collection (honestly I haven't gotten to paint much in the last two weeks) and to share it with you! One of the things I really want to do in this collection is to paint specific types of butterflies. I'm starting with an Easter Tiger Swallowtail, but I would absolutely love to add your favorite type of butterfly to the collection too! Reply to this email and let me know what your favorite specific butterfly is and I'll see if I can add it to the collection! I'm considering doing multiple rounds of this collection and every year release 10 new types of butterfly paintings, but we'll see! Thanks so much to each of you for all the encouragement and support you give me each week even as I try to encourage you! Don't worry, next week won't be another studio update, it'll be a story behind the painting of a new watercolor horse painting! What is one thing going on in your world lately? Reply to this email to let me know! ~Isabel GraceP.S. The print club is closed until the 1st, and I'll be getting your letters out the last Friday of the month! :) |
I'm an artist who creates Scripture inspired paintings to encourage people and make them smile, not to make light of the heavy parts of life but precisely because life is too dark and discouraging and I want to shine a little light to remind you of the faithfulness of the Lord and the peace He offers.
Dear friend, When I was a child, I had the best teacher ever. My mother. One of the things that she did was allow us to explore in our free time some of the educational things. For example, sometimes we got to play with the blocks we used for visualizing math problems outside of school time. Sometimes we got to read an extra chapter of our historically educational chapter book that was teaching us about famous Christian heroes through the years outside of school time. And we even got to play...
Dear friend, In 2018 my whole life seemed to flip upside down. After living my whole life from 4 years old and up in Africa, our family was moving back to the USA. It seemed like a process for us to admit that's the direction the Lord was moving us. But then it finally happened. I remember a lot of it that I don't love to remember. So many good byes. So many tears. So many times I looked outside and my whole chest felt a pang of realizing I'd never see this town, this country, probably not...
Dear friend, Happy Friday! I've hit a huge milestone in my art business this week, y'all. I have 101 people (you lovely people!) signed up to get my emails. That may seem like a simple thing, but 101 pairs of eyes who want to see my art, hear my story, support my art journey, and be encouraged in their faith is a huge deal! I would be quite overwhelmed if all 101 of you came and stood in the back of our living room where my art studio takes up space along the back wall. Your print club...
